Painted Love

Painting you with my pretty words
In a monochrome scheme
Watercolor bleeds against the stormy cloud
Is the rain ever going to fall?

Like a little bird
Walking through the sunbeam
A star that fell to the ground
Tight-rope pitfall

One leaf left on an autumn tree
Must be lonely

Achieve through dirt and grit
A goal is never too high to reach
Perfect means you never quit
Balance beams hang from trees

Between the contrast of night and day
What happens to the subtle light?
The dash of color in the gray
Paint me a white night

Wants manifest as needs
To tempt me to a taste
Do I take a bite of greed?
And non-toxic waste?

What if I pour the paint
The canvas leaks the excess
Artist, what will you create?
Wants are spilled all over the place

To be or to have never been
Do you understand?
Or are you lost in a distant land?

All or nothing
Is what I want
Lost in love – finally something

Painting in watercolor is like walking a tight-rope; one must achieve a perfect balance between what the paint wants to do and what the artist wants to do, or all is lost.
