Lughnasadh

The yeast has risen
The pan overflows
Splatters the oven
Smudges of dough

The yellow ribbon
Long measured and weathered
Wrapped ‘round the maiden
For pleasure ‘twixt the nether

As above the stars
So below the embers of the Earth
Unbind; apart
Separate the heart from the hurt

As sacrifice is crucial to our foundation
So is unity; and shall it not be forsaken

This is the first harvest
Of the ever bountiful land
And we take this quest
Hand in hand

The horned beast bows
The lady plants her kiss upon his brow

Time is enow
To bravely chant amiss our love allows

Lughnasadh
Lammas
Sanctity of light
We are privy to night
But with stars in our eyes

The cicadas cry
As the sun sets
This is not goodbye
Have no regrets

Drawing Down The Moon

Like the crystals by the window,
I soak up all the light;
The amity of her glow
Baptized by the Night
Anointed by a white cloak

An affinity for darkness
Marries with Mother Night
Like the tide kissing the shore
Shy but forceful

She nestles in my vision
Caresses my cold cheeks
Whispers back my wishes
In a draft that lifts my feet

I’m levitating now
With a crescent clear
Upon my brow

I’m drawing down the moon
She dredges up my soul
Marks me with mettle
Valor and gold

I glitter with secrets
Of her reflection
Dribble the nectar
From the lunar well

Drink the dreams
Of distant stars
The confessions
Uttered to the sky
Under impressions
Their prayers will be answered

Dredge the shadows from my roots
And draw down the moon
Drawl incantations from my spirit
Feed it to the moonlit terrace

The crescent on my forehead
Burns a brilliant blue
A tender kiss from the moon
Before I go to bed

Charge of the Dark Goddess

By howl of the hound
Her words I hear
Crossroad bound
Her shadow feared
By croak of the crow
Her crops are sown
By ash and bone
And all below
Her bane is shown
I am never alone

Through her now
I am the Seer

Her rite enow
By each name, I am her

I am Hecate
Traveler of realms
Lady of the ways
Crossed with yew & elm

I am Isis
She of the crown
Just and pious
I am renown

I am Diana
Ruler of the round
Belladonna
Mystic of the mound

I am Cerridwen
Darkness of the dawn
Countess of the cauldron
Mistress of poison

I am Nyx
The woven night sky
Of rune and relics
Where witches fly

I am Lilith
The heat in your blood
Since Neolith
I bring the flood

I am Kali
The swan song
I embody
I am strong

Women of war
Women of woe
Women of pure
Women of pro

Hail Hecate
Rival of day
Daughter of Darkness
Dawn of Decay

I invoke thee

Hail Nyx, Mother of Night
Holy relic, Martyr of Light
Weaver of Wise
Web of Wonder

I invoke thee

Hail Erebus, King of Stars
Wise warrior, Ancient of Alar
God of the Galaxies
Guardian of the Gardens

I invoke thee

Hooved jove
Satyr of the Sun
Horned Hero
Plunge these sacred groves

Blessed is thee
You are the life
In every thorn, bush and tree
Lost lover of the Lady Night

Embrace Her darkness once again
And may Your light warm Her soul
Gallop free along the mighty glen
Harvest the land and reap what ye sow

I ask ye, Hecate, Nyx, Erebus
Lend me power of the land
Through conscious and unconscious
Though keep balance at hand

Give me strength and power
At this magickal hour
Help me survive the darkness to come
Let me hear the beat of your drum

I consent as consort of the great Hecate
In your honor, I praise and pray
Rise and rule the physical realm
Take form, fulfil; upheave and whelm

Bring back magick to our land
Hail Hecate, together we stand
